Sanders wanted to fight Jones but WBO ordered him to fight Brewster (after no other than Don King pulled some strings to force WBO to sidestep Tua who as #1 contender). Sanders did not want to fight Brewster for whatever reason and gave up WBO belt. Without WBO belt Jones fight fell through. Sanders went on to fight Vitali for WBC belt and Wlad went on to fight Brewster for WBO belt.
