Default Re: How good was Sultan Ibragimov

A southpaw silver medalist who could have done a hell of a lot more than he did.

He started off his career using his hand speed and power to be an entertaining brawler who could whack guys out of there. When he struggled with the ordinary Ray Austin due to the fact that Austin was just so much bigger, he switched to a slippery boxing style.

If he would have integrated those styles to where he could change it up depending on the opponent, or even make adjustments in the middle of a bout, he would have been something special.

But alas, he was tired of figthing long before he quit. I remember even before he won the WBO belt we was talking about finding something else to do with his life.

But hey, more power to him, and god bless.
