It'd affect your lifts if you kept going to the gym. Rest is super important, you'll probably find your lifts increase after a few days off with no stress.
I wonder if this applies to boxing as well. Haven't been to the gym or exercised at all in a over week due to injury. Planning to go back tomorrow. Think this is the longest I've gone without any exercise in like 7-8 months.
