I think those advancements are highly overrated and that's why the sport of boxing has suffered . I mean I read back in the day don't recall which trainer it was where he was asked about high altitude training could have been Dundee with regards to Ali and he was asked about it and I think he said something along the lines of well if the fight is in a high altitude area well you acclimate yourself to that part of the world weeks before the fight so you can get use to the air ..It makes no sens to train at high altitudes if your not going to fight at a high altitude .It was pretty cut and dry and made sense .I don't recall him being a PHD but he sure knew how to train champions ,which at the end of the day that's all that mattered .
