Yes. I put Lee at the top of my list.
And I know Gene taught Bruce Lee his grappling. It is common knowledge. Bruce in turn taught Gene a lot of his striking. They were both guys with a common interest in cross training who learned from each other.
And I did train with Gene. But it wasn't in Judo. A long time ago, I got his book on stick grappling and then enrolled in his stick grappling class at the old Hayastan gym and then the gym relocated. A few weeks ago I ran into him and was telling him about how I was still using a lot of what I learned from him in my regular training. He was very pleased, then we started talking about the US elections.
Go on ahead and test me all you like. I just posted the list on they guys who were pioneers in MMA. I know what I am talking about.
