Here's what probably happened with Marquez:
When you first start to train properly, with weights and nutrition, you make HUGE gains. Enormous gains. That is what happened with Marquez. He finally started to train the right way.
This is what happened with Pac when he began his work with Ariza. It wasn't "Manny PED," it was "Manny with real nutrition and weight work."
Then, after that initial 'gain' phase, your improvements level off. That is where Pac is now.
But JMM was at the 'initial gains' phase, and he gained enough to be able to do what he did against Pac on Saturday.
That's plausible if it's true that JMM didn't do any type of strength conditioning prior to getting his new fitness guy.
