I think they are overated (unless filling their charges full of PEDs) and detract a boxer from concentrating on actually getting better at boxing. Vigril Hunter said that S+C coaches get people extremely fit and strong but theres a difference between that type of fitness and specific boxing fitness and I would agree with him.
Floyd is an exception there aren't many fighters with his discipline he probably could even be succesful without a real boxing trainer, I thought Ward works with Conte and Froch isn't the most athletic guy is he? And is CHEF only Wlads nutritionist or does he also do S&C? It depends also on the fighter, on their style and how old they are I think older fighters should do more S&C since they should already have some skill and need to keep their body in shape
