Default Shin splints

Hi, think i may have developed these in my right shin. Just wondered should i pack in training all together, or just drop the running? Problem is when i'm training because my weight is on the back foot, and when i'm doing certain explosive work I can feel it. Although the pain is bearable i'm pretty sure I cant be doing it any good. Also I've started using a kettleball doing squats and swings, would these be effecting it?
