Good post. That's the thing, most boxers never get near their true peak because of the outdated views of boxing trainers. Marquez incorporated some heavy weight lifting which is traditionally frowned upon, he hadn't done it before so he had massive benefits. If he had been training like that since the beginning of his career with periodised weight training he would've probably been a devastating puncher.
