..and while on books..another brilliant source of knowledge for me was Bruce Lee's..'The Tao of Jeet-Kun-Do'..he goes into much detail about blocks,slips and parries..counter punching and counter counter punching...every base is covered in great detail..
..goin' back before the internet age..this was one of the most useful books i'd come across..
