Default Re: Marvin Hagler's training routine ?

Growing up in Boston during the 80's I remember an article in the Boston Herald describing Hagler's routne while preparing for a bout with I think Antuofermo. The funny thing about it was that Marvin didn't do anything unusual or high tech when preparing for a fight. But what he did do was pound away at the basics. He put himself "In prison" as he liked to say. Long runs along the dunes in Provncetown, sparring, bag work, rope skipping and endless calisthenics. Nothng fancy but the basics x 10. He proved that with hard work and dedication, you can excel without the the gizmos and gadgets alot of people think are a necessity.
