Re: What's next for GGG?
I'm bored with West European Fighters and their Australian/South African counterparts. Golovkin has more opportunities in SMW and LHW than he does at MW. Fight Pirog, sure, and maybe even Geale but the big fish - Sturm, Chavez Jr., Quillin, and Sergio Martinez aren't coming.
The only interesting options I see for him that are possible are Pirog (who is Russian, a legit 160 contender), and Austin Trout at 158.
The Trout match is, I think, the best option for both fighters. Trout is looking for stardom and is a big boy at 154. GGG needs to prove he deal with quick, intelligent fighters. They are both trying to break their respective ceilings. GGG v Trout would be PPV and good for both fighters in America.
If GGG has four fights left - Trout, Pirog, Geale, Ward. Would be a campaign for sure.
