well here is the thing
doing a lot of reps actually puts muscle on

if you see powerlifters train
who also have to make weight but want to be super strong
they do heavy weight 1-5 reps

and bruno and rahman
depends how you look at it
both were heavyweight champion
so i would say they were pretty sucessful
