Default Maksym Bursak Wins MW European Title

Bursak beat Julien Marie Saint via 3rd round TKO today in France to win the Euro Title at MW. He dominated from the opening bell relentlessly pressuring and unloading combinations on Sainte against the ropes. He opened a bad cut in the 2nd and in the 3rd caught Sainte with a counter left hook hurting him and followed up with a combination that put Sainte down with the ref waving it off.

I heard talk of Barker going for the Euro belt but after checking the EBU rankings he isn't even rated in their top 20.

1) Pirog
Sturm
Murray
Proksa
Santos
Saunders
Spada
Khominsky

I doubt Pirog or Stum will care and Murray has the Martinez fight. Pirog still hasn't announced an opponent for his first fight since the back injury and Bursak would be a good tune up but i doubt he would want it. If Proksa wanted to get back into the mix it would be an ideal time. We'll see how interested Bursak is in making another attempt getting to world level and be a legit contender or whether he just wants to make some defenses in Ukraine.

Proksa or Barker are both available and either of them would be a very good fight with the winner putting himself into World Title contention. Ideally i would like to see Bursak vs Barker with the winner facing Golovkin after the summer.
