Your statement is very broad. I agree that what you eat in particular isn't very important, but just saying eat whatever a lot is just a lazy way of going about things.
not to agree with you...but also if you eat real crap it will also tend to impede a decent workout.....like chocolate cake is going to send your blood sugar flying around....mcdonalds is going to make you feel like shit in general....
