Del Harris had the exact same roster Phil had in LA as well. Phil won titles Del didn't. Then when Phil retired Rudy Tomjonovich took over as well as Hamblen when Rudy quit and they didn't do ****. Phil comes back with the same squad and wins more championships. Then they fire Phil and Mike Brown takes over the same team and does worse.
LOL ok nice try but you failed, doug collins had grant and pippen in their rookie and second years and finished 50–32 (.610), 47–35 (.573) respectively and went all the way to the conference finals. Phil Jackson was handed a team that was knocking on the door for a title. Once Jordan retired he couldnt even make the finals.
Del Harris had a rookie Kobe that was hardly ready for the NBA. Once Kobe blossomed then they gave the keys of the team to phil jackson. 2002-03 season the lakers finished fifth and eliminated in the conf. semis. They made the finals the next year but lost. Phil retired and when rudy took over he had kobe and a bunch of average players with no shaq oneal.
When Phil came back they were average and finished third in their division and were eliminated in the first round two years in a row. It wasnt until memphis gift wrapped gasol to the lakers for a bunch of scrubs and some draft picks that they were able to get better.
So once again it is proven that phil jackson can win with a loaded roster and is average with one that isnt.
And to end this debate Lebron James has been in the league for 10 yrs and couldnt win a title until spoelstra started coaching him.
