Sure. Why aren't Tyson or Holyfield like Lewis though? Tyson is always honest and humble talking about his defeats/flaws/doubts. Evander makes no excuses and doesn't seem to really praise himself much either. It takes someone a tad insecure to focus that much on convincing people how good you are, to take it all that seriously.
I consider "I'm still going to be the heavyweight champion at 50 years old" to be fairly arrogant.
Tyson isn't to far removed from "I'm the greatest, and I'm going to eat your kids!" either. But I'll agree, he seems pretty humble now.
The ego is strong with most champions. Pretty sure Lennox isn't insecure. He's having a ton of fun with his life right now, last I've heard, despite how hard leaving boxing was for him.
Pretty amusing to see the champions of my day commentating, doing Broadway, and selling BBQ sauce.
