Default Re: ****DECADES SURVEYS 2 - Best 10 Fights 1990-1999 - DEADLINE March 6****

The 1990’s was every bit as good, in some cases better than the 70’s. Picking the top ten matches here is not easy!

1 Tyson vs. Douglas. A 48-1 underdog pulls of a great performance, overcoming a knockdown to finish Tyson, and take the title. People remember where they were, and who they were with when this happened.

2. Robinson vs Gatti. Gatti deserves to be in the hall of fame for memorable fights. This one was a dozy.

3. Carbajal vs Gonzalez. What boxing wouldn’t give to have a lower weight fighter like Carbajal around today. Gonzalez wasn’t anyone’s second banana. Pun intended. He was great too.

4. Tua vs Ibeabuchi. Bombs were landed in a fight that set the record for punches thrown in a heavyweight fight. Very close.

5. Hamed vs Kelly. Plenty of knockdowns here. Bad chins + offensive minded fighters and pride = a great recipe for action.

6. Fenech vs Nelson.

7. Bowe vs Holyfield 1, round 10 was fantastic.

8. Morrison vs Ruddock. A gun fight at close range, Morrison crushed Ruddock with a left hook that bring him off his feet, and then finishes him off before he runs out of gas.

9. Chavez vs Taylor, not a great fight, but a great and dramatic ending with some controversy.

10. Benn vs McClellan
