Every once in a while I drink a Protein shake with Dextrose. It's not from a particular brand, I got it from a BB gym owner, he's got big barrels full of that stuff. I don't use the stuff on certain times, just when I feel like a milkshake. If you lack Protein intake you could try it. Another good thing for Protein is Cottage Cheese right before you go to bed. It contains Casein, that's why it has a slow-release effect. Basically your body gets Protein the entire time you sleep because of it.
