There is such a thing as a chin that is too good. A chin too strong results in you taking needless damage. At times for the purpose of winning a fight, you'd be better off going down to recover, rather than take more punishment when you are dazed on your feet.

It is perfectly balanced between solidness and weakness. He can take very big shots, but still goes down at advantagous times, which allows him to recover.
