I have seen a couple times Holmes and Gerry Cooney walking together on the Atlantic City boardwalk together. They are friends today and Holmes has been very generous with his time and money helping Gerry's F.I.S.T charity - Fighers Institute for support and training.
Yeah. I go to his gym, and he's in there all of the time. He is the most down to earth boxer I can think of. He prefers to be called Larry, not Larry Holmes, not Mr. Holmes, not the Easton Assasin, just Larry.
