Re: Tony Tucker vs Gerrie Coetzee
Tucker is a bit of a mystery man. There is no question he had ability, but often he squandered it. He never really achieved what his potential promised.
In some ways, the same could be said about Coetzee.
I hate to do it, but once again I must pick against Gerrie. Tucker was a good boxer with sufficient resilence to not get knocked cold by Coetzee's bionic right. I see a fairly close fight, but Coetzee would be playing catchup all the way.
In the latter rounds, Coetzee tended to fade a bit, and Tucker would consolidate his points lead. In the end, he'd box his way to a UD over 15.
However, if Tucker comes in out of shape (as he often did) then Coetzee wins on points.
