Re: Fist Position When Throwing A Hook
I like to throw them elbow a good bit below the fist, and fist close to vertical. I was originally taught to throw them the classic elbow in line with the fist and palm to the ground way, but I could never hit anyone with them. Now that I've made the adjustment, they seem far quicker and I land them more often. I've also noticed that most pros hook this way too. Probably because they don't need to worry about it being judged a slap.
