Young boxers from around the world dream of fighting at only a few venues. Madison Square Garden and Las Vegas are such venues. It is not to do with the capacity of the venue but the history that goes with it.
People travel the globe to play golf at St Andrews. There will be better courses at cheaper destinations but they do not have the tradition that makes them attractive.
For equal money Hatton would much rather fight at Wembly or the City of Manchester Stadium or even Old Trafford. However he knows he can't make that happen, so settles for vegas. Admittedly the Mayweather fight would always happen there.
