Not neccesarily true , i mean if you dont become a world champion you dont become anybody in the boxing world lets not lose sight of that , then there is the business sense if your a past world champion and have held a couple of belts then why go through the politics of holding a world title with mandatory's and everything else , from that point on there is the potential to go free lance vacate your title and fight the big names when you want .
If the top fighters fight the top fighters there will always be a world title somewhere in the equation .
You're not getting it. Its fighters fighting top fighters that equal a good legacy. The titles mean **** all. I know exactly what you're saying, about how it makes you marketable. I'm just saying it doesn't necessarily add to your legacy
