fact is,hoffmann doesnt. he will be (almost) always a good test for an upcoming prospect,but not more.
he will probably end up similar as willi fischer (and many other overrated heavies).

I dont think that anybody has ever overrated Timo Hoffman,boxexpert!
Sprott and Timur looked great against the slow and clumsy German.However,he went the full route with Vitaly Klitschko,and has beaten some decent journeyman(Zuri Lawrence,Cengic Coc,etc) in his long pro career.
Styles make fights,mate!
Timo is a decent boxer,nothing special,and certainly no match for any top gun,but he is no pushover.He keeps trying to win big fights.He failed to win his big fights though.
