bodyweight training is good when you box. i tried saying this once and got shot down.
most bodyweight exercises can be 'upgraded' to become extremely difficult. i believe they must also improve the general strength of the body as a whole as most trgeted exercises require other parts of the body to work as well, such as keeping your abs tight in push-ups, your back works with pull-ups and chin-ups, etc.
