Bodyweight is extremely beneficial and compliments weight training.
Having said that, your imagination is the only limit to your bodyweight training.
As for explosiveness...well, I don't think dancers and most gymnasts lift weights for their explosiveness.
Yep planche pushups are ****ing hardcore. Tried training to do them a couple of years ago and just ended up injuring myself. I got to the point where I could get into the tuck position and hold it for about 10 seconds. The amount of pressure on the shoulders and forearms is immense much harder than anything else I have tried.
One arm pull ups are also pretty hard I can do about 3 reps but don't really train to do them just try them now and again.
