Its always best to take it steady when breaking in something new. When i started bringing rope work (climbing) back into my routine after my shoulder injury a while ago, it was murder at first. Arms, chest, shoulders and core muscles all took a beating and slowed everything down a little for a week or 2 (as i was also building up chin/pull ups and bar dips again too)Just take your time mate.
