I still have no idea how I went from struggling with 2.5 miles to 5 miles with ease.
I've never ran more more than maybe 30 minutes straight when I was 18.
For these hour runs. I start out at 4 speed, switch to 4.5 at 2/3 minutes in and run on that until 20-25 minutes.
Then switch to 5 speed for 15 minutes. Then I run on 5.5 until I hit 5 miles.
