Turpin was one of the earliest weight trained boxing champions in the lower weight classes, and would have had an advantage over Marv in physical strength. Ask Alan Minter, Vito Antufermo, and Mustafa Hamsho how much superior physical strength helped them against Hagler. Unfortunately for Turpin, this is boxing, not wrestling.

Randy doesn't get to the championship rounds.
