Yes they were conned, but not by Hatton and camp. I'd even got as far as saying that Hatton and co themselves were conned by the media.

Of course Sky and the bookies had to make noise, this was going to be the biggest pay day of the year for them. The PPV and the bets wouldn't have been half of what they were without all the hype.
