To be honest recovery from weight training especially for someone who does boxing or other endurance sports would not be awful. You don't NEED a **** ton of food or carbs unless you want to get bigger or you are a big guy and need more to maintain.
For you, eat plenty, and lots of good protein and good carbs, and things will fall into space. More if you want to gain weight, less to maintain.
