Can anyone tell me about this fighter? His Light Middleweight title winning effort has gotten me interested in him. Was he a typical Olympic Auditorium warrior?

Yeah; he pulled a Rocky when he beat Wajima by 15th round KO for the 154 pound title. Not exactly a great fighter, but a good, fairly typical product of the SoCal school, fought at the Olympic a lot. You should watch his fight with Armando Muniz; terrific fight.
