green fought like a zombie.
he was already gassed by the fourth and tried to play defense against a guy he should have bullied.
tarver didnt even apply that much pressure green just kept backing up and taking shots.
either way greens done. all the best to ya in retirement danny.
thanks for the memories.

None of they above will ever go close to the calibre of a Tarver or Jones Jnr or even Flores for that matter.
He got beaten by one of the greats tonight.

u saw he was capable, when he let his punches go tarver was in serious trouble. he was rocked bad in round 7 or whatever it was.

he allowed tarver to tee off on him for most of the fight. it was like he bet on tarver to win. sorry, but i just don't believe that was danny green i was watching.

too sus imo.

Check out when he loses to Beyer and Mundine again Buster...he gets absolutely lost when he can't figure the other guy out...he might have a little charge here and there, like the 12th against Beyer and the 7th tonight..but for the most part he loses confidence and just lunges with the occasional big shot.

Couple that with the fact he had been dropped and hurt earlier in the fight..thats exactly how I would have expect Green would behave in that situation.

I didn't expect that result but in retrospect I don't see anything sus at all..Green was just bested.

Green is not a true cruiser. Everyone talks about muscle, but his legs were skinny as at weigh in. He should go back to 175, if he can still. No mans land
Exactly my thoughts when he was trying to bait him while he was sitting on the ropes. But Tarver was far to smart for that, jabbing and setting up the left. Even his corner were onto Green's gameplan.

Green didn't adjust very well to the left hand at all. Jab, short left/straight left, move to the left. Repeat.

Mundine beat Green when he had to drop weigh to fight at SMW. He outfought Green that night however, and was the better fighter. Since Green has returned Mundine has dropped from Super MW, to Middle and now Junior MW. He has dodged Kessler and of late has fought jokes. I am impressed how well you can type will having Mundine continually blowing his load in your mouth TCboxa.

That's the same Green as always, zero ring IQ. He somehow decided he had boxing skills after fighting some corpses and now he tried to outbox Tarver. What a ****ing idiot, Tarver is an olympic medallist. Green had some success in one of the rounds by putting his head down and being aggressive, that's all he can ever be, a head first brawler. The reason why Green could only do it for one round is because that sort of style uses up alot of energy and Tarver was still countering with some hard shots and making Green miss. The extra weight didn't help, Green is a natural light heavy so I don't know why he chose to come in right on the cruiser limit, the extra kilos use up more energy if you haven't been at that weight for a long time in order to let your body adapt. Skills beat Green, that's all there is to it. If you think he's something better than what he showed tonight then you haven't been paying attention and thinking critically.

Quite possibly the most sensible thing said on this forum for a very long time and I am a Green admirer. He lost the plot after being tagged in the 2nd and decided to counter punch off the ropes. Tarver just picked him off and waited to land the left.

Im a green fan, but i do believe your mostly right , the extra weight worked against him and he gassed , however that wasnt the best that green has been , not sure if that would have made any difference. Tarver can still make a splash at cruiserweight his left hand is incredible imo, danny did shake him but couldnt capitalise , all in all a good fight and stopped at the correct time

C'mon mate. Green and Mundine were both super middles their whole careers up to the point they fought. Don't make out that Green was campaigning at 175 before their fight because he damn well wasn't. Mundine beat him fair and square in their primes.
