mate Trout knows his stuff alright. He knows Mundine is the show. You may not like it, the guy down the road may not like it, and I dont really like it (should have made more of it after beat Green in 06, and Soliman in 07) But fact is Mundine puts bums on lounge room seats. Maybe lower against those south Americans, but even after getting KOed by Wood who he should not have even been fighting he cashed in again. Convenient result. Losses to a novice pro and turns out to be good business.
Trout knows his stuff alright. And how is Geale going with his super duper PPV down in the backwaters of Van Diemen's land. What a blockbuster fuelled with entertainment![]()
Mundine's closet nuthugger and PR man TC "BOXA" assumes too much when he suggests that fans who dislike his hero must be Green supporters. Trout knows his stuff. Choc was to be his Argie cab driver. Seems like Austin will be searching elsewhere for his 2nd defence. Why would a middleweight [Mundine] be considered as Trout's mandatory ? Surely he would be expected to win an eliminator at 154 to qualify. Names like Ishida, Wolak, Williams and Lara will make sure that never happens. Unless Boxa agree to Trout's terms the fight is dead in the water. ![]()
|

This is actually true. So Trouts management really screwed up. Negotiating the mandatory will be much more favorable to Mundine who has a lot more money to play with when it comes to purse bids. By not backing off on their fight options clause they've shot themselves in the foot. Had Mundine not been the mandatory, it would have made a lot more sense.

when talking what is being offered you need to also look at what trout has been getting.
dont think he has received over about 180k for his fights so choc isn't going to offer 500K just to get the fight when he knows as No 1 mandatory he can get it much cheaper |

Tbh, trout gets the blame here. As ty said, a rematch option would have sufficed, trout isnt that recognisable, he needs to protect his belt and a rematch clause looks after that.
But trout cutting in on a mundine home town promotion by having a 1 fight option? Thats bs. Fairs fair. If he forces trout by becoming his mando, he's still getting knocked out so the end result is the same, we just wait a bit longer. |

450K seems to be the figure being bandied about. Any proof ?
Nasser seems to have outflanked Trout's team by sweet talking and probably palm greasing Choc's meteoric rise to No 1 on the WBA L/M rankings. Justified ? It's laughable. Will Trout V Mundine ever happen ? We'll just have to wait and see.
