The right uppercut is about as technically challenging a shot that we try to throw. I've done 6 videos on uppercuts, left and right at short/mid and long range. Here's a link to the mid-range right uppercut, maybe it will help you out. [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] Skills development is an absolute must my mate, make sure you keep striving to become a more complete, technical fighter Good Luck Fran |

Why on earth are you doing hill sprints and 100m sprints x whatever during off season.
pointless. The training effect from sprints last about 72 hours. |

I was doing 3 minute rounds and during rest period was being eager and doing press ups and sit ups etc. Brown Bomber, I only started boxing in late March so I havent done a full season of boxing. Using this off season to build up my fitness and strength as I want to go back at the start of September in good shape. |

Thanks for the above, I am trying to work on the technical aspect of it all but as someone said above I should be wary of picking up bad habits. I want everything to be right, turning in to the punch, movement etc etc |

I'm a late starter, 23 going on 24...jealous of the younger lads who are 12/13 as I would have loved to have been doing it then. I'm from South Essex and the gym is based in my home town, same bloke has been running it for years, its a good place & good atmosphere. |

Started last september again but have been slacking and messing around at my first year at uni so have only started training properly since june. Going to the gym when i can but its hard and expensive cos of the timing plus i work 9-6 alot of the time. lots of work at home/local track with a focus on conditioning and weight loss (strength not too bad relatively). Next week tho the gym opens properly and ill be going twice a week plus conditioning at home. gotta make up for lost time
. My goal is to get my first fight next year march-april preferably before im 20 (mid april).
