I think Ali stops him by TKO. Ali was all wrong for Tyson. Too good.

Yes i agree.Tyson was not at phisical prime,he was only 21 but he was in psychological prime which was more important.Ali could not beat Frazier psychologicali and he wouldn't bet Tyson of 1988.Tyson win.

Hard one here. The real question is, does Ali stay away in the early rounds? If he does, he could survive the early onslaught of a prime Tyson. Doing so I would vote on an Ali decision, but if he can't stay away well enough, I think Tyson might actually floor him. Tyson had great hand speed and power that could be comparable to Foreman (though I think Foreman hit harder). That combination might be enough to end Ali early. Might being a very key word here. Ali did have a chin forged by the gods.

Tough match. There's a fair chance Ali wins a battle of wills.

I agree, and it shouldn't even be a debate about this because Ali didn't have the footspeed at this point anymore to beat an 88 Tyson. Tyson would knock him out.

Point taken. But Ali had n't deteriorated very much between the Foreman and third Frazier fights. Ali would have trained accordingly for a 1988 Tyson.

Ali wins. Too much character. Too strong mentally. I think he look pretty good in manila too. A pissed off Frazier is hard to beat.

As I said, the slippage between Zaire and Manila was minimal. There was more of a marked deterioration between Manila and Yankee Stadium, against Norton one year later.

Will will only get you so far against a certain level of talent. And as much as others would like to have you believe otherwise,Tyson didn't completely falter the moment his opponent got through the first couple of rounds.

Tyson should win, but would not in my opinion. He would not be able to KO him under 3 rounds because of Ali's iron jaw and Ali would take over afterwards. Ali had enough left in 1975 to beat Tyson.
