you guys make it out that if you get in a clinch, that it's impossible toget out of it.
It is, if you don't know what you are doing and the other person is good. In Thailand they spend hours just clinch sparring.

First off we are talking about people who are good in the clinch. MMA fighters at your gym are not likely to be that good (there not many in the UFC who have a good clinch)

What has the neck got to do with the legs! Are you serious? Try pushing off with your legs when your neck is being controlled (pushed to the side etc). You won't be able to do it.

I would like to spar you if you are stupid enough to cover your face with your forearms while being clinched . It would be over very quickly.

You make it sound simple You clearly are not sparring people who are any good

Boxing and MT both have there basic style of clinching and it would benifit each art to learn both styles and learn how to work the clinch to there benifit and learn what can be done while your in a cllinch.

muay thai doesnt have a BASIC clinch, it is an art form in it self and there is no benefit at all for a thai fighter to learn the boxing clinch. Boxing clinch is just basically hold on until the ref breaks you up.

No its not.In fact, the "double thai collar" is a training exercise in boxing to control the weight of your oponent and is called "pousse pousse".There are other tricks like bending your knees aim your pelvis in direction to your oponent with the correct feet position, that is for not being bullrushed to the ropes or corner by your oponent, Mayweather uses it very well and combines it with forearm pushes and footework to not being trabbed.

So your statament is very simplistic.
