Wilder knocked out Alexander in 2 rounds -- KO, not TKO.
Very patient, seemed intent to box and not go for big shots in the first round. Second round he trapped Alexander in the corner and landed a combo (RLR, I think) and put the guy down. Took his time and set up a right that knocked Alexander out cold a little bit later. Amazingly (at least by this thread), Wilder did not get wobbled, knocked down or knocked out. |

Wilder didn't start fighting until 5 years ago. He is a young man still perfecting his craft. He has the size, power and attitude to become a good prospect in this weak HW division.

3rd string 200lb Russian Evgeny Romanov KO'd him at USA vs Russia duels.
He'll be lucky if he reaches Michael Grant's level of accomplishment. |

Wilder should fight Vlad ASAP for a huge payday at MSG, NY. He would receive a huge pay check, he would get knocked out, but look at the money he would make..........................Lyahkovich made the mistake of fighting Helenius for a must lower payday, made a stupid move. So..........if Wilder were to get knocked out by Vlad or Vitali it would not hurt his career at all and he would be rich.................

I know Harold, and I know for a fact that he never trained a day for the fight. A trainer from my gym went with him and worked his corner. If he had any gas in the tank he would have finished Wilder.

I don't doubt it. Wilder is a total fraud, he's packing MAJOR china in his mandible and your friend helped expose this. A guy who gets to actually do some prep will finish the job, early. Wilder can't take a punch and his handlers know it.

Clearly, he's the number one KO waiting to happen in boxing right now. I would be shocked if he makes it past the fringe contender level without getting sparked. Frankly, I think it will happen as soon as he faces a decent journeyman.

It'll be awhile because they're not going to match him with anybody with a halfway hard punch and a bit of skill until they think they can get a payday for him. I'm guessing he gets a spotlight on a FNF card and then gets brutalized.

Time will tell the tale on Wilder. You know Fireman Jim Flynn KOed Jack Dempsey in the first round early in Dempsey's career. I don't recall anyone stating Dempsey had a glass jaw.
Of course, Zakman wasn't around then. |
