Default How do I determine a healthy amount of weight to lose?

Alright so I've some know I've gained about 15 pds from Basic Training. I am currently not in a boxing gym, but I do go through mandatory PT 3 days a week (which sucks) which consists of a 3 mile run pushups, situps, etc.

I am currently at 140 hydrated
5`7
I don't lift weights

I am looking to get back to 123 fighting weight, but wouldn't mind 132 for now.

How do I determine how much weight I can lose healthily before cutting water?

Take your body weight and rate your shape between 1 and 10, 1 being fat 10 being anorexic, whatever the number is divide it by 10, then multiply your actal weight by it. Then minus 40lbs.

Every body is different. Eat better, and less, and up your roadwork, and train... You will lose weight.. Diet, or amount of food eaten, is really the most important part as far as weight loss gos.

If your only fighting amatuer my advice would be to not worry to much about the weight....
train hard get yourself into the best shape n fitness level u can then weigh yourself. whateva u are fight at that weight.
People go overboard tryin to loose n cut weight. just fight at whats natural for u.

U could cut a bit by strippin down to your undies n just havin a light meal the night before n not eatin or drinkin much on the day of the weigh in till you've made weight.

once you start fighting and training more you'll find wats comfortable for u and where your strong
