Both beat him.. Cooney by early KO and Quarry by late stoppage.

Neither win by stoppage over a 12 round distance. If simon took bombs from Louis for as long as he did, in what universe does it make sense that a cruder finisher and worse fighter in cooney manage to turn the trick faster... And a smaller man and lighter hitter in Quarry manage to do it at all? Literally, quarry is outweighed by something like 50- pounds at his heaviest. Did he ever overcome a weight and size obstacle of that magnitude, notions of knocking out aside? That's downright silly, to be honest.

Quarry would beat Buddy, wide decision....He was simply the better fighter...
Cooney vs Buddy would be fun, but I like Cooney in this one.....
