I like Patterson by decision in a decent punch up with Pattersons hand speed and combinations being what separates the two men.

Patty of 1960 before his fight with Ingo added 8 pounds of muscle and was a solid 190 pounds.... Patty at a toned and fit 190 beats Qawi on a decision over 15 rds.... Plus, Patty being like age 25 and Qawi up at 190 pounds and at age 32 / 33 in 1986 is prolly too much for Qawi to handle in a time machine.... Qawi is powerful, strong and bull-like with Patty, but Patty is too quick and spry and boxes to a decision....

Patterson in his physical prime vs an overweight Qawi is a mis match of Mythical proportions. "Fat" Qawi isnt strong enough, quick enough, nor posseses the skill set to keep Patterson off him, much less compete with him.

Floyd Patterson had blazing fast hands and underrated power. If he could outbox guys like Chuvalo and Bonavena, and beat guys like Tommy Jackson, Ingemar Johansson, Henry Cooper, and Eddie Machen, I'd pick him to defeat Qawi.

Floyd has slightly overrated boxing skills but vastly underrated punching power. Floyd had one leg that was shorter than the other and the result was that he did not move his feet that well. He really came at you and went to war with you. There were very few if any, smaller fighters that could stand up to his hand speed and power. He was too big to be a lightheavy but too small to be an all-time great heavyweight. We often hear how he wasn't a big guy. That is incorrect. He was not a big heavyweight but when you got close to him, he was all there. Big beefy hands and hugh deltoids. His personality out of the ring was so mild mannered that some are fooled as to how tough he was in the ring. Qawi would be overwhelmed and tko'd by Floyd.
