I've noticed that in his past two fights at least, he's looked somewhat inaccurate with his punches. Especially tonight against Rafael, he was missing quite a bit with the overhand right and lead right hands. His left hook wasn't on either. I like how he's poised in the ring, but sometimes he looks as if he's too relaxed and like he's open to get clocked. I saw ample opportunities for Rafael to land tonight--especially in close.
I just feel that if Brook goes up against a fighter with better speed and overall skills, he is going to have to step up his punching accuracy and also his defensive posture. Because fighting the way he fought tonight I don't feel gets him a win over a top guy like Berto or Ortiz and especially not Khan. |

Agreed.
But I'm more concerned with his workrate and the slow pace that he prefers to fight at. He looks fine against punching bags who don't throw anything back, but what happens when the likes of Karrass, Ortiz, Berto and Khan don't give him that luxury? |

Fighting that way against Khan especially would be bad. Kell seems to try to wheel out of position when his opponent attacks and doesn't do so very quickly. There are opportunities to hit him at that point because he keeps his left hand really low once he starts wheeling out. Just a dangerous posture to be in against someone like Amir who will throw 5-7 punch combinations. I think Kell could make Amir miss some like McCloskey did, but McCloskey was really tuned in and was working his defense at a really quick rate so as not to get caught. Kell just needs to pick up his overall speed once he gets in there with better fighters. But, I am most def. a fan. |

He looks pretty good, we'll see how good when he gets somebody that is willing to throw. That bag he was punching today should have been gone in 2 rounds, guys like Berto or the Tree would have been all over the pole. Right now I would favor Berto or the Tree over this guy.

Kell Brook is selling 1000 seaters in Sheffield. Him n Amir were friends at one point but all of a sudden Kell started talking bad about Amir. Jealousy is a bad thing imo.
