Default Re: What if Manny pacqauio had fought the miguel cotto of 2007?

much better fight than the first but i have to assume manny wins again maybe istead of it only being competitive for 5 rounds it is close for about 8 rounds before Cotto wears down

how bout Manny vs Margo of Cintron 2 i rewatched that fight and Margo was way better than that 154 version we saw get sent to the slaughter

He'd likely have put up a better show with more right hand work, and in some ways, I feel, having followed Miguel through it, that while he had lost some of the confidence he once had, and had become more likely to pull back on you, even if he was doing serious damage, he also seemed to become a more subtle boxer from mid-outside range, in some ways? I think he'd have been more competitive but lost in a fight where he'd likely have made more of the match look like the first three or four rounds, but still ultimately been ground down, to a rough last few rounds where he would begin to get clearly dominated by the fighter with the tremendous stamina, although, this time, making the distance. My two cents, anyway. He'd probably have made the distance without the ref's mercy as it is, after much backpedaling. The weight changed nothing. It was a needless asterisk. Cotto weighed one pound more for Clottey.
