Floyd has 2 problems with footwork

1- His age (which hasnt really had an effect to this point)
2- His right hand lead has a tell, he leans his back foot forward before he pulls the trigger, but nobody he's fighting can see it because if they take their eyes off Floyd's upper body they will get rocked immediately.


Many has many foot related problems

1- He crosses his legs to much when chasing
2- He cant cutoff the ring effectivey vs defensive minded fighters
3- He backs up from punches instead of swing to the right or left (not ass much of a problem recently)
4- He is also getting older ie slower on his feet
5- His southpaw style makes footwork more important and harder on him than other fighters
6- Cant fight backing up
7- Overall lack of ring general ship

Mosley would take 2 step backwards everytime Pac cocks his hands.

Unless you are one of those idiots that in order to cover distance, you must take a 45 degree direction.

Because there was a thread similar to this one where apparently the shortest distance between two points is a 45 degree either to the left or right.

It only works if you are able to corner an opponent to the ropes. But not when the opponent is literally running.

Cutting off the ring is entirely a different topic.

I am not saying Pac is good at cutting off the ring. But it is a skill employed usually against opponents who employ mosley's style in the Pac fight.

Sure, he is not effective but he won the fight!!!! Is it not the goal of the fight, to win?

When you compare foot skills and suddenly you include a category of "cutting off the ring", what is the objective measure that Gayweather is better at cutting off the ring?

One thing is certain, Pac is not good cutting off the ring. But is Gayweather better at it?

It is hard to say because he never actually has to cut off the ring. All his opponents were coming forward. Even Gatti, who is a human punching bag was still coming forward. Even JMM had to initiate the actions most of the time. Even Mosley, who aimed for Usain Bolt's record against Pac was still coming forward.

Flomos would just jump into conclusions without any objective reasons.

Let us put this as a fact - Pac is not good cutting off the ring. How about Gayweather? Who knows?
