I was just posting something about Cain in another thread, and was thinking to myself... How do these fighters get so overrated so easily? Then on the other hand guys whom were dominant for so long, such as Fedor, many people said he was OVERRATED before his first loss.
These guys with 10 fights or so, many of whom are against old shot legends, are suddenly in line to be GOAT. Carwin, then Lesnar, then Cain, I haven't heard to much hype about JDS (as most were followers of Cain and now hide from the forum i guess). What's your opinion as to why these guys get overrated so quickly? Is it the UFC hype machine, because UFC is just more main stream, or the fact fans are just looking for the next big thing? |

Well there is such a thing as a fighter having the POTENTIAL to be an ATG fighter - but only time will tell the tale of their legacy.
