You don't need to have peak reflexes to be prime. There are other abilities that can make up for reflexes past prime.
The way I think about pre/in/past ,-prime is that a fighter is prime when he is around his highest level when you take everything into account, ie. mindset, experience, physique, skill. |

To simply look at reflexes to consider when a fighter is prime is not a great measure. They might be in their physical prime but the might not be at the peak performance at that rime.
ie Bhop might be considered to be prime after his reflexes have slowed a touch because he mastered his craft after that time. Meldrick Taylor was at his peak going into the JCC 1 fight but went right to shot after that when his reflexes where still not that bad but his punch resistance diminished Tyson was at his peak physically pre and post Douglas but mentally was starting to deteriorating. I would argue his physical (and mental resolve) peak came to an end with the two wars he had with Razzor. |

My Chart:
Green: Physical Prime- Skills still developing Prime: Physical Prime Plus Current Skills equal the greatest this fighter will get. Past Prime: Physically breaking down, Skills either still there or adapting to fight with decreasing Physical ability Shot: Skills cannot make up the difference in Physical Ability anymore(i.e. Roy Jones of now.) |

When he can't pull the trigger. Imagine standing on one foot 'n keeping your balance. Ya automatically adjust without thinking. Same goes for an opening. When it's not reflexive, a fighter's shot.
