Sorry.
I also came across Mundine's exact quote on the September 11 attacks.

In one interview when asked about what he thought about Australian troops joining Americans in Afghanistan he stated: "I really feel that it's not our problem. They call it an act of terrorism but if you understand the religion and our way of life it's not about terrorism, it's about fighting for God's laws and America's brought it upon themselves [for] what they've done in history and so on."

Not really saying that the people deserved to die, it's more a moronic comment if anything.

I dont have any problem with what he said. The timing was terrible. He never said anything about ppl deserving to die.

a win against ottke would of given mundine tougher fights in the future, which would of been good to see, i feel it really hurt his career (ppl get far to caught up in the 'interim title' hype) as he hasnt yet become a recognised champion, and ottke was his best chance to date to become a recognised champion. so mundine more than likely would of made a lot more money, had a lot more interesting fights, had a lot more peoples respect, so technically in my opinion we have ottke to blame for mundines under-acheiving career.......

I think your right.

If he hadn't lost, he would have won!

And then he would have unified the division.

And then he would go on to become MP for Melbourne East and then Prime minister of Australia.

And then we would have changed the constitution of the World and asked for him to become World leader.

And then he would have died, and gone to heaven where GOD WOULD STEP ASIDE AND ALLOW HIM TO TAKE HIS RIGHTFUL PLACE!!!!!!!!

Remember that lose actually helped Mundine focus in his career after that fight. It was only his 10th bout.
agreed

Well if we're going to imagine that scenario, then Danny Green never melts down against Sean Sullivan and fights his usual Eric Lucas-esque performance on Mundine and KO's him brutally instead of the lamest fight card that got huge numbers in Australian history.
