Marquez Vasquez Trilogy

so underrated. I think there was more action in that 3 fights, than any other trilogy, but nobody EVER talks about them....

That trilogy gets much props here on ESB.

Great, great, great trilogy no doubt about it. If you want to get casual fans into boxing, these three fights would reel them in instantly.

It gets recognition; it's just been a while since it's been brought up.

Lots of action in each fight, and not too lacking in some raw technical layers either.

never saw the 3rd fight but the 1st 2 were great but i got the idea that Vazquez was so much better

I would say Marquez is/was the overall better fighter than Vazquez...Izzy just happened to get the better of him.

Smaller name fighters so it doesn't get the recognition among mainstream fans of Barrera-Morales or Gatti-Ward but among boxing fans it's anything but underrated. Regarded as the best or one of the best series of fights among 2 fighters by everyone I know
